Post-Hurricane Transitional Community
Challenge:
To supply 150 move-in-ready transitional homes within two week post-disaster, with the requirement that units be convertible into permanent community facilities after 3-5 years at low cost.
Our Solutions:
We designed a “Growable” ODM modular system. The basic units met immediate shelter needs but were pre-fitted with utility and structural interfaces for future expansion. We supplied a multi-phase conversion blueprint from shelter to permanent community center. The first batch was air-freighted for rapid response.
